Hiking and outdoor adventure activities involve inherent risks. These risks vary depending on the route, weather, terrain, and group dynamics, and may include (but are not limited to) slips, trips and falls; uneven or rocky terrain; steep sections and heights; moving water; falling objects; sudden weather changes; exposure to heat, cold, wind or rain; wildlife and insects; potential exposure to crime or theft in public natural areas; remoteness and delayed access to medical care; and equipment failure. By choosing to participate, you acknowledge that serious injury, illness, disability, or death can occur, even when reasonable safety precautions are taken. You confirm that you are physically fit to participate in this activity and that you have disclosed any relevant medical conditions, injuries, or allergies (such as heart conditions, asthma, epilepsy, severe allergies, recent injuries, or recent surgery). You understand that participation may be refused if you appear unfit or impaired (including due to alcohol or drugs), where this is necessary for safety. You choose to participate voluntarily and accept the inherent risks of this activity, including risks that remain despite reasonable care and safety measures. To the extent permitted by South African law, you agree that the service provider, its guides, employees, and agents are not liable for loss, damage, or injury resulting from the inherent risks of the activity and/or ordinary accidents that occur despite reasonable safety precautions. If you are injured or become ill during the activity, you give permission for the guide or staff to provide first aid and reasonable emergency care within their training and scope of practice. If required, you authorise the arrangement of evacuation and/or transport (including ambulance or other suitable means) to a medical facility. If you are unable to provide informed consent at the time, you authorise the service provider to assist with reasonable admission or administrative requirements for emergency treatment. You understand that medical, rescue, evacuation, and hospital costs may be for your own account and/or your medical aid or insurance, and that you remain responsible for any costs not covered. You consent to photos and videos being taken during the hike and used for social media and promotional purposes unless you inform the guide otherwise. You understand that any drone use will only take place in compliance with applicable regulations and at your own discretion and risk.
I confirm that I have read and understood the information above and choose to participate voluntarily.
