Unlike the rocky, exposed slopes found on many Table Mountain routes, Skeleton Gorge begins under a canopy of indigenous forest which are cool, green, and full of life.
After rainfall, water trickles and flows along the route, adding a magical soundtrack to the climb.

One of the most memorable parts of the hike is reaching the famous mountain dam, which feels like discovering a secret beach. It is a peaceful, surreal setting and a great spot have a lunch break.
We hike down via Nursery Ravine, forming a loop back to Kirstenbosch.
