Adventure Season Rates (October – February)
This is Cape Town’s peak hiking period — long daylight hours, warm weather, and the most iconic sunrises and sunsets of the year.
Demand is highest during these months, permits book out faster, and we maintain small groups for safety and a premium experience.
Pricing during Adventure Season reflects this increased demand and the elevated guiding requirements.
Shoulder Season Rates (March – May)
Shoulder Season offers the best of both worlds: beautiful hiking weather, fewer crowds, and crisp mornings perfect for the trails.
It’s an excellent time for visitors and locals who prefer a quieter mountain atmosphere. Rates are slightly lower compared to peak season while still offering the same high-quality guided experience.
Winter Rates (June – September)
Winter hiking in Cape Town has its own charm — peaceful trails, dramatic misty moments, cooler temperatures, and incredible clarity on clear days.
These months offer more flexibility, quieter routes, and a more intimate hiking atmosphere.
Winter Rates are our most accessible pricing, making it the perfect season to explore the mountains year-round.

At Lekker Hike, we believe nature should be accessible to everyone. That’s why we host regular Community Hikes which are designed for connection, joy, and inclusion.
Pay-What-You-Can model. A portion there of gets donated to non profits supporting mountain conservation, safety and animal well being.
Usually hosted weekly on weekends
